Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound--very happy! I added the Denon Home Wireless Subwoofer to my DHT-S716H Sound bar and am VERY HAPPY with the sound. What a great addition to my home system. The only difficulty was syncing the two speakers, but that was because they were not on the same software version. Once they were both updated to the same software version, it works like a charm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Denon Home Subwoofer (new March 2020) Purchased in March 2022 two days after I saw the Denon release email. Wanted a sub to mate up with my two Home 150s to add that deep bass. Frankly I was impressed with the bass in the 150s by themselves for such a small package when I got them in Dec 2021 but it can’t compete with adding a sub. The Home sub mates flawlessly with the 150s. It self optimizes the low pass filter to match up or you can set it manually. You can separately set the base level to set it’s prominence. Only hiccup in the setup was after following the directions to a tee, no sound came out of the sub when the setup was done. Went to the “ go-to”unplug/replug from the electrical outlet fix and that did the trick. Whether listening to the acoustic intro to Hotel California, the Chili Peppers or Hip Hop 8O8s this sub delivers. Public service announcement: Please Denon add a more frequency adjustable EQ than simple treble and bass to the 150s and the HEOS app could use a refresh to make more intuitive. Hope this helps.

Questions

I have an AVR-X4700H with a wired sub woofer. Can I add this as a 2nd sub woofer wirelessly (HEOS) to same system? Will it cause problems having one wired and one wireless. The 4700 accepts 2 woofers.

Asked by: Gator
Hello, The wireless Home Subwoofer is unable to receive a wireless discrete LFE feed from the AVR-X4700H as the AVR-X4700H does not offer a discrete wireless LFE feed. You can connect the Home Subwoofer's AUX input to the LFE/subwoofer out of the AVR-X4700H. The wireless Home Subwoofer is designed to pair wirelessly with any of our wireless Home speakers such as the Home 150, Hoe 250, Home 350, and the Home 550 Soundbar.

Hi ive just purchased a Denon n11 HEOS unit which I love but would like to add this wireless will they work together through the app or will I need rca sub cable

Asked by: Stevieboy
Hello, The wireless Home Subwoofer is designed to pair with our wireless Home speakers, such as the Home 150, Home 250, Home 350 or Home 550 Soundbar. All of which can be fed a wireless signal from the RCD N11. If you wish to use the wireless Home Subwoofer with the RCD N11 directly, it can connect to the subwoofer out of the RCD N11, using the Home Subwoofer's AUX input.

Hi, I just purchase the AVR-X1700H and the Denon Home Subwoofer, hoping to connect the 2 wirelesly using the Heos app. Unfortunately, it seems this cannot be done. Is there a way to connect the two even if it's wired?

Asked by: guys
Hello, The Home subwoofer can be connected with a wire to the AVR-X1700H. It has an AUX input on the rear panel which can accept the feed from the AVR's subwoofer pre-out. If you have wireless Home speakers or Home 550 Soundbar in any other room, the Home subwoofer can paired wirelessly with those.

Good afternoon Can you please tell me if this subwoofer will work with the S716H soundbar?

Asked by: Igor_Nov
Hello, The Denon Home Subwoofer is designed to only work with Denon Home speakers and soundbars and will not work with the S716H. The DSW-1H was the subwoofer designed to work with the S716H soundbar.

Does this wireless sub work with any Denon receiver?

Asked by: Tee Dow
Hello, With all our AV receivers, for use in the Main Zone (surrround sound), sub-woofers need to be hard-wired with an RCA cable. Our wireless Home sub-woofer can be hard-wired to an AV receiver for surround sound use, otherwise it can be used wirelessly with any of our Home speakers or 550 Soundbar.

I have a dht-s217 (2022 release) soundbar with dolby atmos. Would this subwoofer work with it or do you suggest any other product? I am also looking to add two rear speakers. If subwoofer is not needed for my setup, what rear speakers do you recommend?

Asked by: danishdanny4u
Hello, The Home Sub-woofer can be added to the DHT-S217 and will add a good deal of low frequency information. A single RCA to 3.5mm jack interconnect is required, which can be found on websites such as Amazon. Unfortunately, the DHT-S217 does not support the addition of rear speakers.
