Rated 5 out of 5 by from A. great tuner - amplifier at this price point Replacing a very fine (old) analog tuner/amp, I wanted a new one that handled well my various audio visual devices without breaking the bank. The AVR-X2700H fit the bill perfectly. When I got it home, the set up process was amazingly well organized, with step-by-step instructions displayed on the tv screen. Regardless of expertise, the instructions were easy to follow and ended up with devices working as expected. Included in the set up is a tuning of the speakers in the room, resulting in optimal sound. Bravo Denon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound Replaced a 1912 with a pioneer elite that just did not sound as good and it would not stay connected with my TV ARC. So I saw this one in Denon’s wed site and could not pass it up. And after having it for a few weeks it is the best sounding receiver so far.

Questions

Hi, can I connect Denon eARC port to on HDMI Soundbar to get Dolby Atmos sound instead purchasing tower and surround

Asked by: Sugumar
Hello, Unfortunately, this is not possible. The eARC port on any of our AVRs (including the AVR-X2800H) will only allow for an incoming audio feed (typically from a TV). The eARC port on an AVR is not able to send out an audio feed. It is there to decode any audio signal from any of the sources, apps or tuner built into a TV. The other issue is Soundbars are designed to connect directly to a TV to offer better sound than the TV's built-in speakers. They are not designed to work with an AVR unless they are a passive Soundbar with speaker ports. AVRs generally require all speakers to be hardwired, and that the speakers be passive.

Is it possible to control the amp through the ethernet connection. Simple commands, on/off, select input, mute, volume, etc? Probably simple serial commands. Thanks!

Asked by: CharlieLHull
Hello, Yes - the controls you speak of for the AVR-X2700H (and all of our other AVRs) can be operated using our free 'Denon AVR remote' App. Easily found and downloaded in your App store of choice. Is it possible to connect to tv. I have a problem to connect with my LG tv 8K. Is there any HDMI socket?

Asked by: Mark Anthony
Hello, The AVR-X2700H supports an 8K feed and has HDMI connectivity. We recommend using Audioquest HDMI cables (Ultra High Speed) as they have yet to let us down. We have found not all latest spec HDMI cables are made the same.

Hi, Does Avr x2700h have dual independent sub out feature? I have 2 subs and waauiont to be able to adjust delay/ volume on them independently.

Asked by: Audio guy
Hello, The sub-woofer output on the AVR-X2700H on ports one and two are identical. There is no inpdependant control for them individually within the receiver. That would need to be done with the controls which are available on the rear panel of the sub-woofers themselves.

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, The AVR-X2700H is equipped to handle a four ohm load. Impedance alone does not offer much of a guide as to how compatible a speaker might be with any given amplifier, as there are other important factors to consider, such as sensitivity. Some speakers which are bundled with a system will only work with that system, so if you are in any doubt, you might want to ask Sony as they could be proprietory speakers.

I currently have a Denon AVR-S920W would this be a suitable replacement for it and have enough power to run my current setup?

Asked by: Dominic
Hello, If you are using the same speakers driven by your AVR-S920W, then yes. The AVR-X2700H has impressive speaker-drivig capabilities.
