The DCD-A110’s disc drive is equipped with the Advanced S.V.H. (Suppress Vibration Hybrid) Mechanism. Improvements in high-mass, vibration-resistant properties and the dispersal of resonation points, allow digital signals to be read from the disc with optimum accuracy under stable conditions.

Circuit patterns have been reworked from the ground up to make the signal paths as short as possible and ensure that the original sound is faithfully reproduced across the sonic spectrum. As a result, interference between circuits and between left and right channels as well as adverse influences on audio signals are minimized.

The integrity of musical signals deteriorates when they are subject to internal vibration caused by disc rotation or the power transformer or to airborne vibration caused by sound pressure from the speakers. To guard against such influences, Denon engineers designed a vibration suppression structure called “Direct Mechanical Ground Construction”.

Key Technologies

  • Able to decode HI-Res Audio The ability to decode Hi-Res Audio ALAC, FLAC and WAV lossless files up to 24-bit/192-kHz, as well as DSD 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz tracks (SACD) lets you enjoy each note exactly as the artist intended.
  • Denon 110th anniversary Denon has been upgrading your expectations in the audio and video industry since 1910, and we are proud to celebrate this milestone with the Anniversary Edition limited series in silver graphite.
  • Advanced AL32 Processing Plus Advanced AL32 Processing Plus utilizes data interpolation algorithms, up-sampling, and bit-extension to support high-resolution audio that is free of interference and faithful to the original sound.
  • Advanced circuitry The circuit patterns have been engineered to make signal paths as short as possible, reducing interference to reproduce sound that’s clean, highly transparent, and faithful to the original recording.
  • Includes DAC Master Clock Design Crafted with exceptional quality, the master clock is immediately adjacent to the DAC, which suppresses jitter and ensures optimal precision in D/A conversion.
  • Includes Denon original disc drive design The disc drive is built with a high-class S.V.H (Suppress Vibration Hybrid) mechanism. New, condensed signal paths and circuitry are minimized to prevent excess noise and preserve sound quality.
  • Direct Mechanical Ground Construction In this design, the power transformers have been placed close to the product's feet where unwanted vibration is funneled directly to the ground and prevented from affecting nearby circuitry.
  • DSD Support Included Supports DSD (2.8 Mhz / 5.6 MHz) files and high-resolution files up to 192 kHz / 24 bits recorded on DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW discs.
  • Includes Pure Direct Mode Pure Direct mode turns the display and the digital outputs off to minimize interference that might color the audio signal. What you hear is clean, detailed, accurate sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my DCD-A110 I have had my Denon DCD-A110 player for over a year, I am happy to say that this is a fine piece of audio equipment. Every CD I play sounds fantastic! I even bought Michael Jacksons Thriller SACD just to experience it . I am not a Michael Jackson fan But, Thriller is a great album ! and it sounds wonderful on this unit, connected to a Yamaha AV Receiver and full Klipsch speakers all around! it sounds like the Artist is performing in my own living room!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well conceived and executed I decided to add an SACD player to my McIntosh system about a year and a half ago. After extensive research, I decided on the Denon DCD-A110. I have been really pleased with my decision as this unit performs well and exceeds expectations. The sound is accurate, clear, and very real. The nuances and subtleties of the music are fully reproduced in a way that is pleasant and never harsh. My player is part of my main system which includes a McIntosh C47 and two bridged MC-275's driving Klipsch Forte III's. I use a Decware tube boost in the signal chain for some depth though it's probably not necessary. The DCD-A110 is solidly built and dead silent in operation, certainly of the same quality as the other gear in the system. Overall this unit both in terms of the sound and construction easily merits a 5-star rating. Well done, Denon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Denon Anniversary Edition DCD-A110 CD/SACD I used to play all my CD, SACD, DVD-A and Blu-ray Audio discs on my OPPO UDP-205 universal 4K Ultra HD Audiophile Blu-ray Disc Player. I was using OPPO player a lot. OPPO closed factory in 2019, and there is not similar universal Blu-ray player on the market. I decided I want to get CD/SACD player at the same quality as OPPO and use OPPO just for playing DVD-A and Blu-ray Audio. I did not want CD/SACD with streamer. If I want Streamer I will buy Streamer as a single unit. After researching bunch of CD/SACD players my choice was this Denon Anniversary Edition DCD-A110. I don't regret, this player sounds after 3 months of using absolutely amazing. I replaced the power cord for AudioQuest power cord. I think to get CD/SACD at the same High End Audio quality you have to spent at least double price. Made in Japan feels good as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Amazing Player The Denon DCD-A110 Anniversary Edition is an amazing piece of gear. "Mr. Denon" replaces a 20 year old Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 3D CD player. Right out of the box, there is a gravitas and tremendous detail to the Denon. As great as the Nu-Vista is (and it uses tubes in the output stage), I can tell that the Denon is way, way better. Incredible micro-detail and far greater depth in soundstage than in the MF. The sound leans to the warm side ever so slightly, and is highly detailed without being thin or clinical. SACD playback is excellent, but it’s with Redbook that this baby shines. The CD sound is hi-res in every sense, and the player certainly brings older CDs from the pleistocine era into the modern world. That may be atrributable to the quad DAC set-up. Build quality is off the charts ... it’s a heavy beast with a beautiful, gun metal finish. The internals are chock full of high quality parts, so you can see that Denon focused heavily on sound quality. There simply is no empty real estate inside. If I had to nitpick, it would be: (a) no balanced outputs; and (b) lack of an "open tray" function on the remote. I don’t stream, so the lack of digital inputs is irrelevant to me ... this is a purist, old-school design in many ways, and is a statement piece. Plainly, the Denon will open up as it breaks in, but wow ... first track out of the box and the sound is just awesome. I’m really flabbergasted.

Questions

Hello, Denon. I own both A110 Amp and CDP. Can you recommend the best way to connect these two given both units have similar DACs in them? 1. Analogue out from CDP to PMAA100 and PureDirect. 2. Digital out from CDP using Coax or Optic? Thank you!

Asked by: koojas
Hello, This is much more down to personal preference than there being a right or wrong way. What I do in this situation is connect using both digital and the analog connections and decide from there. In the instances where I cannot hear a difference, I conclude there is no difference. Any audioble differences are typically going to be very subtle, and for any differences to be heard, I suggest about a week with each connection before moving to the next connection.

Hello, does the CURRENT US version have Burr Brown Dacs as the US website doesnt state them as such, and only as Advanced TI 1795 and the en-au lists them as 4x PCM1795, Burr Brown Mono-Mode. Could you please clarify?

Asked by: michaelbuzby
Hello, The DCD-A110 utilizes four mono Burr Brown PCM1795 DAC chips.

You probably can't answer this question but i'll ask it anyway, Assuming that the DCD-A110 has been discontinued does Denon have plans to issue a high-end player in its place or will the DCD-1700NE remain the top-of-the-line for the foreseeable future?

Asked by: AJB6560
Hello, Unfortunately, I have no information available about products which do not yet exist.

1. What formats of A/V does this unit play? 2. Is the CD, DVD Tray metal or plastic? 3. Does this unit have Bluetooth or WiFi capability? 4. Is this your "Flagship" of Universal Blu-ray Players?

Asked by: Crazy James
Hello, The DCD-A110 is our flagship CD/SACD player. As the DCD-A110 is an audio-only player, it does not support DVD or Blu-ray playback. The disc tray is made of a composite material. There is no built-in support for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
