Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Happy with purchase I originally had an Onkyo TX-S939, but was wanting to move to a receive that supports height speakers for Atmos, originally I was looking at Onkyo, but after doing a bit of research, found this gem. I've heard people say that music is a little less lively from Denon, but I have not found that to be the case, and as far as surround sound, I feel like I'm in the middle of the action. even playing Mario Kart, I can hear the players coming up behind me, which helps in deflecting shots. I also have a tcl 6 series mini led tv, which is fantastic, and use Polk speakers, they are from when I bought the original onkyo system, and I was on a budget, so I have 2 T50 towers, 2 T15 Bookshelf, and 1 T30 Center channel, as well as ps10(subwoofer, I believe that is the model for that). I would recomend this receiver to anyone wanting a budget surround system. as a side note, I have a Hue sync box between the receiver and TV, the only component that doesn't play nice with that is the 4k Blu-ray, but the tv has more HDMI ports, and the Blu-ray player has a second HDMI port for sound only to goto the receiver... I will be adding height speakers soon, but until, it is really immersive.

S760H connected thru eARC HDMI to TV with ATSC3.O tuner and solid signal, lip sync sometimes off by ¼-½ second. Occasionally the sound drops out, comes back; then sound may be OK. TV lip sync is correct when not connected to reciever. Is there a fix?

Asked by: Extra 300
Hello, Without knowing the make and model of your TV, possible solutions are limited at this point. It could pertain to signal strength, but without being in front of your equipment I can only speculate. If you are not experiencing this issue with any other sources within your TV (apps for example) or anything else (other than the external tuner) connected to your TV, the issue is likely to be with the external tuner. Otherwise, I would check to make sure you a Version 2.0 or 2.1 HDMI cable. The AVR-S760H has a sync correction feature. Here is a link to the details: https://manuals.denon.com/AVRS760H/NA/EN/DRDZSYdwbwwnyp.php I believe there is a good chance the issue resides outside of the AVR-S760H, but in the meantime, here are the contact details for our Customer Care Team. Is the bluetooth multi-directional? Can I use bluetooth headphones with this receiver? I didn't see anything in the specs about bluetooth other than as a receiver, not a transmitter.

Asked by: KathyG
Hello, Yes - the AVR-S760H does also have transmitting Bluetooth duties built-in. Here is a link to the details: https://manuals.denon.com/AVRS760H/NA/EN/DRDZSYyhpiwfqz.php

Question is if the S760H will have enough power at only 75W / channel to drive: the Aperion Audio Intimus S-12 Subwoofer? I could not get it picked by the assistant speaker setup

Asked by: Handy Dan
Hello, Because powered subwoofers have their own amplification, they do not draw any power from the AV receiver, including the AVR-S760H. AVRs have a subwoofer pre-out. This means that even though the volume of the subwoofer can be controlled by the AVR, the power used to drive the subwoofer is courtesy of the amplifier built into the sub-woofer, and not from the AVR's power amplifier stage. The connection from the AVR-S760H is the one labeled 'Subwoofer Pre-out'. This goes to your Aperion Audio subwoofer's Line In port. You may wish to use an RCA splitter or Y Cable at the subwoofer end on this cable. Some dedicated subwoofer cables already come with this convenience.

I want to use this unit in a 220v / 50hz environment. Will it work in 220v/50hz or I need to use a step down transformer of 110v /50hz. Also this unit is rated for 60hz but the step down voltage will be 50hz so will that be an issue for the unit.

Asked by: AI95
Hello, Unfortunately, the AVR-S760H was designed only for use in North America using 120V/60 Hz. Using this AVR outside of the country in which it was purchased invalidates the manufacturer's warranty.

I love the AVR-S760H receiver however when I change inputs, the unit shuts down within a minute. It doesn't seem to matter what source I was using or moved to. My firmware is up to date.

Asked by: Bill up north michigan
Hello, The first thing I would do in this situation is to power down the AVR-S760H and then disconnect everything on the rear panel. From here, power back up and change inputs once every couple of minutes to see if the symptom has gone away. If it has, power down again and reconnect every speaker - making very sure there are no stray strands of speaker wire at either end of each speaker wire run. Power back up again and experiment again with switching inputs. If the symptom persists, here is a link with how to contact our Curtomer Care Team. They are on hand to assist with further trouble-shooting: https://www.denon.com/en-us/support/contact-us.html
