Rated 5 out of 5 by from Denon AVR receivers. This is my second AVR Denon I have in the last 9 years. Denon AVR have a deep rich base and crystal clear highs that produces a unique sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice receiver at a very nice price. Great sound quality and easy, guided setup. My only complaint is that the volume control on the remote is very touchy. So you have to push the button incrementally for small changes rather than push and hold. Otherwise, the volume changes too rapidly. But I'll accept that quirk given the very nice price for this receiver and the great sound quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful 8K/60 & 4K/120 supported receiver I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on an AV receiver with fully operational HDMI 2.1 (bug free) for use with my gaming consoles. After reading about all the issue's with the earlier ones I avoided AVR's until I could find a reasonably priced 2022 model. Enter the Denon S570BT, a great option for those looking for an entry-level 5.2 capable receiver that fully supports HDMI 2.1 out of the box. This AVR has a good MSRP price, and is a steal when on sale! After several days of playing games on both PS5 and Xbox Series X, I can confirm that all games perform flawlessly, without any noticeable latency problems, whether using standard 4K/60 or the faster 120fps mode. It's buttery smooth too! Please make sure you only use certified HDMI cables so you don't have issue's with the screen blacking out and/or audio cutting out. I was plagued with black screen drops in the past, when I initially started 4K gaming on PS4 Pro. Changing out my non-certified cables eliminated the issue. Sound quality is very good, especially considering the low price point and lower watts this receiver is pushing out to my Polk towers and rear surrounds. I run a 5 channel surround setup in a room that is roughly 12x10 feet, and this gets plenty loud. Setup is a breeze and walks you through everything. The included mic is used for audio calibration so it can make corrections based on your room. Make sure to take the time to do this! I can't comment on movie listening since I only use this receiver in my game room, but I can tell you that the directionality is spot on with this receiver. I played some COD matches and could easily tell where other players were running around. I finished the new God of War on PS5 and it was quite a sight to behold, as well as listen to, when playing on resolution mode with working 4K/40fps. My only nitpick with this receiver would be that using the remote to make volume adjustments can be finicky. On all other brands of receivers I've used in the past I've never had any problems adjusting the volume, but on this Denon when you press and hold the volume it changes far too quickly and is hard to really dial in the right volume. Instead you must rely on pressing the volume button one press at a time to get it where you want, which can be frustrating. It's a minor annoyance, but something that Denon should try to address on future AVR's. That said, it's possible (though unlikely) that Denon could release a firmware update to address this. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase of this Denon receiver, and I highly recommend anyone looking for an entry-level 5.2 receiver with 8K/60, as well as 4K/120 support out of the box to look into this one.

Questions

Very pleased however the TV picture degrades after launching game on Xbox One X. "Optimized for game settings" message briefly appears on screen. I'm using eArc from TV to Receiver and Xbox is direct connected to TV. Is this a TV issue or Receiver issue?

Asked by: Methuzelah
Hello, If you are experiencing XBox Series One X signal degradation with how you describe your set-up, it will be something to do with either your TV, your XBox or your HDMI cable. If the XBox video feed goes directly to the TV, it cannot be anything to do with the AV receiver causing the picture degradation.

What would you recommend for an IR extender? I keep the AVR S570 in a vented cabinet but my Samsung and Amazon remotes won’t power on the unit if the cabinet door is closed. I am using the ARC port as well, and doesn’t seem to power on the AVR.

Asked by: rlantonio711
Hello, The installers we speak with say IR extenders work well. We haven't compared brands, so we cannot make any specific recommendations.

Can I connect your Denon Home 150 Wireless Speakers and your Denon subwoofer wirelessly to this receiver AVR-S570BT , and how do I do that, not seeing anything in user manual as to wireless setup

Asked by: DaveM55
Hello, Most of our AVRs support the use of our wireless Home speakers and sub-woofers for use in rooms other than the Main Zone (where the surround sound speakers need to be hard-wired). Unfortunately, the AVR-S570BT does not support use of our wireless Home speakers and sub-woofer as it is not a network receiver.

Asked by: Tom Rine
Hello, Once you add speakers and a sub-woofer, the AVR-S570BT offers you a good deal more growing room than an all-in-one home theater system. You have a lot more flexibility with what the AV receiver partners with, as well as compatibility with newer technologies.

Can you connect to my existing Heos network?

Asked by: DIZ24
Hello, Unfortunately, the AVR-S570BT is not a network AV receiver, and therefore cannot connect to a HEOS network. All our other current AV receivers have a HEOS engine built-in, and therefore can connect to an existing HEOS network, or even start one of it's own.

Does it work with turntables?

Asked by: Mario Mario
Hello, With the AVR-S570BT, a turntable can still be connected, but the turntable would either need to have a phono pre-amp built-in, or first connect into an external phono pre-amp (easily found on websites such as Crutchfield or Amazon) first. All of our current AV receivers with model numbers ending in the letter 'H' have a built-in phono stage, allowing for any turntable with a moving magnet (or high output moving coil) cartridge to connect directly.

The description notes that this AVR can use bluetooth for music -- can it also output audio to speakers for video games and movies? For example, if I connect my Xbox to the receiver, can I output the volume from the Xbox to a bluetooth speaker?

Asked by: Cherri
Hi Cherri, Most of our AV receivers have a Bluetooth transmitter for use with a Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth headphones. Unfortunately, the AVR-S570BT is an exception - it only has a Bluetooth receiver. Because of Bluetooth technology's limited bandwidth, it is best used for audio-only sources as synching issues can occur when used with an audio/video source.
