Rated 4 out of 5 by from What's with the Remote ? Just opened the box, and the first thing I noticed was the weak remote? I love Denon and therefore bought the top dog receiver, but at a $2K price difference I expected the remote to be on par with the previous top dog receiver.

Does the AVR-A1H support SiriusXM? Currently, I have the Denon AVR-X4700H and it drops the SiriusXM signal a lot. The antenna seems to be very weak.

Asked by: Greg in SoCal
Hello, Yes - you access SiriusXM through the HEOS app - if your wi-fi feed is strong enough, you can have an uninterrupted signal feed of SiriusXM. Here's how to find SiriusXM in HEOS: HEOS App > Music Tab > Cog/wheel (top left of screen) > Music Sources > Online Music > SiriusXM > Sign In > follow instructions on screen.

Does this support Bluetooth Auracast or some sort of multi-chanel bluetooth transmission? Basically wondering if it can transmit to 2+ bluetooth speakers simultaneously?

Asked by: Broc
Hello, The AVR-A1H can transmit to one device at a time. Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver modes cannot be operated simultaneously. The Bluetooth Transmitter mode is not available when the receiver's current source input is set to Bluetooth and vice-versa; Bluetooth Receiver mode is not available when the Bluetooth Transmitter setting is set to 'on'. Selecting a Bluetooth input source in any Zone will terminate the connection between the Denon receiver and Bluetooth headphones. You cannot connect Bluetooth headphones when the Denon receiver is grouped within the HEOS app. Remove the receiver from the group to enable Bluetooth headphones connection.

There is 150W into each of 2 channels, so 300W total. 15.4 channels. That's only 20Wpc (less, subs need a 10th/pow each). Is this correct?

Asked by: mikegariti81
Hello, That is not correct. Every channel is capable of reproducing up to 150 watts. We haven't tested and measured for 15 channels being driven all at the same time, not least because finding such source content is extremely difficult. The AVR-A1H is capable of delivering at least 70% of 150 watts for each channel with five channels being driven simultaneously. Most speakers demand a small fraction of that amount of power to go very loud in a regular domesitic setting. Either way, the AVR-A1H is well equipped to get the best out of a wide variety of loudspeaker.

Other than having 2 more channels does this provide any more output over the 8500?

Asked by: Ryno9999
This receiver is 150w x 15ch while I believe that the 8xxx was 110w x 13ch.

I own a marantz SR8015 but I want to replace it with the denon avr-a1h but am not sure if it is worth it is there a big difference?

Asked by: Juflo
I would add a critical difference and that is Denon uses a different Sound Master than Marantz’s to create their signature sound, and so overall it’s A different animal. You might want to listen to both at a store to hear the differences in sound to see if it’s a fit. Maybe compare the Cinema 40 Marantz if you can.

What is the price to upgrade to Dirac?

Asked by: MikeysMadispop
Hello, There are two upgrade options with Dirac Live: 1. $269.00 allows for correction up to 500Hz. This option is popular because frequencies below 500Hz are considered the toughest to manage. 2. $349.00 provides adjustments for the full bandwidth.
