Inside Denon

The world’s first 8K Ultra HD AV Receivers

Why you need 8K

8K is the most vivid resolution available for both movies and gaming. Images are roughly 8,000 pixels wide – that’s four times as many pixels as 4K, and 16 times as many as 1080p. In short, it allows for an ultra-ultra-high definition picture.

You don’t even need an 8K display to reap the benefits. Denon’s 8K-supporting AV Receivers enable 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video pass-through, which means HD and 4K screens look even sharper too.

Video as well as audio

Since 1985 and the launch of the world’s first AV amplifier Denon has been pushing the possibilities of audio visual technology. The AVC-500 was the first step towards home theater and the idea that for a genuinely immersive experience sound and picture quality should be perfectly entwined and seamlessly synchronized. 8K is the latest innovation on that journey.

Invest in your home entertainment system

While 8K Ultra HD is still perhaps in the early adoption phase in the not too distant future it will inevitably become the norm. Indeed it will be Denon that helps to usher in the next generation of ultra-high-definition movies and gaming.

Denon's new 8K HDMI inputs enable the playback of HDR formats including HDR10+ and Dynamic HDR (in addition to HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG). Denon also supports a new HDMI feature Quick Media Switching (QMS), which allows a source to instantly switch resolution or frame rate in order to eliminate screen blackouts.

If you want to be fully immersed in your favourite movies and games choose the Denon S-Series or for the ultimate 8K experience try the X-Series – the only way the stay at the forefront of AVR's tireless evolution.
