Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performance of my factory refurbished Denon AVR I have been an avid audiophile and now videophile for decades, and after Samsung and Onkyo AV's , my new Denon is head and shoulders above them all. I am also a Journeyman Electrician and Security System Integrator, so I know how things work. The low noise levels and tremendous rise-time and effective slew rate demonstrate how well built my unit is. The video processing, in conjunction with my 4k player renders wonderful up-scaling video playback and surround processing. So there, I hope most of you understood what I just shared! Voila!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great receiver. Excellent receiver, very easy set up, on screen set up is very helpful. The cardboard mic stand for calibrating speakers was pretty wobbly, but as long as you don’t step into the wire, you will be fine.

Questions

How do I connect a Samsung Frame TV using their “One Source” system to a Denon AVR-X 1600H? Can’t figure out how to get tv sound to play through the Denon AVR.

Asked by: markb1956
Hello, Our AVRs (including the AVR-X1600H) are designed to receive the sound from a modern flat screen TV by connecting the two devices using their respective e/ARC HDMI ports. If your Smasung Frame TV adds more to the recipe than that, it is recommended you speak with Samsung, as we were not involved with the TV design of their TVs.

My receiver was restarted, and I tried to set it up again but it says “Setup With TV”. I do not have a TV to set it up with so what do I do. The main reason I have it is for Bluetooth music.

Hello, Some features can be accessed without use of a TV, but many require a TV to be connected with an HDMI cable so the detailed on screen display can be utilized. This is standard proceedure for an Audio/Video Receiver. Here is a link to the page in the user manual which details how to use Bluetooth with the AVR-X1600H: https://manuals.denon.com/AVRX1600H/NA/EN/SEHFSYeqzwufsj.php For those who do not plan to use a TV with an audio amplifier, we do offer stereo integrated amplifiers which do not require a TV to access all their features. They are very much the same as an AV Receiver, but without surround sound, an AM/FM tuner, or the video features. Here is a link to the details of these products: https://www.denon.com/en-us/category/amplifiers/

Can you setup 7.2 in zone1 while also having 2 speakers setup for zone2? Currently I have this receiver setup with 5.1 in zone 1, and zone2 is setup with 2 speakers. But I don’t see how I can add 2 more speakers to zone1 while still having a zone2.

Asked by: AlexRummy
Hello, With the AVR-X1600H it is possible to have 7.2 in the Main Zone as well as a feed to Zone 2, but it does require adding an optional external 2 channel power amplifier. An external power amplifier would connect to the Zone 2 pre-out, with your Zone 2 speakers connected to the external power amplifier.
