Easy set up and control with HEOS app. I am using for pure 2 channel sound and the B speakers for 2 more atmos channels on my home theater amp. This is perfect because the B speakers don’t use the sub output. To be clear, I can use A+B on other sources such as my turntable, and this also activates the sub out. Has ground connection. Front panel cartridge option button depending on what you are using. I really love this amp. Thanks Denon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good sound I bought it a week ago. Also Denon DCD-900NE CD player. And Wharfedale EVO 4.3 sound boxes, floor standing. Streaming from TIDAL. Room is 5 x 5 m. Classic living room, not optimized for hi-fi music listening. Nevertheless, the sound is really good. Presuming the source is good, quality CD or TIDAL or vinyl. Even TV. Audio streaming on this device opens complete new music libraries. You hear EVERYTHING, clear and loud. Sometimes you have not so good music quality input and it can be very disappointing. Not because this DENON is bad,but because it is so good. Bass and treble can be adjusted but I like direct sound most. So, sound quality comes first, as the prime expectation. No problem here, very impressive. Also important, there is no, or very little heat in this device. Also very important, using this device is highly comfortable, because of good remote controller and excellent HEOS application. At the end, there is something that could be better, bigger as the matter of fact: the display. It is irritating small. It shows only sound volume level and sound source name. Bigger display with more data would be very welcomed. Just to reach the high level of this device.

Hello, Firmware updates for the PMA-900HNE can be made through the HEOS app. We recommend hardwiring the PMA-900HNE to your router with an ethernet cable if your Wi-Fi reception in that area of your home isn't expecially strong. The Wi-Fi antenna can be bought through Encompass. I’m pairing my PMA-900HNE amplifier with DCD-600NE CD player and would like to ask for recommendations between connecting them using analog RCA connection or digital Optical connection? Which DAC is better between the 2 components?

Hello, Either the analog or digital connection between the PMA-900HNE and the DCD600NE will yield impressive results. Any detectable sonic differences either way are a very subjective thing, so we suggest doing a comparison to see if you have a prefernce either way. Some of this may be dependant on the quality of digital and analog cables you are using.

Will the PMA-900HNE work well with a pair of KEF Q700 floor standing speakers?

Hello, The PMA-900HNE outputs 50 watts per channel at 8 ohms which is enough to power these speakers which have a rating of 15 - 150 W at 8 ohms.

Hello, what is the subwoofer’s low pass filter set at? Do the speakers have a high pass filter setting or will they receive a full range signal regardless of whether a subwoofer is connected?

Hello, With the PMA-900HNE, the subwoofer output has a fixed 100Hz low pass crossover filter. The speaker ports deliver a full range signal all the time, with or without a sub-woofer connected.

Hello, I suggest removing as many lesser-used 'paired devices' as possible from the Bluetooth settings of your mobile device. Also, it is a good idea to wait one minute before pairing after selecting the 'Bluetooth' input of your PMA-900HNE.
