The sound is simply astonishing and the video switching precise. This the the second Denon AVR I’ve purchased and I’m a fan for life.

I purchased the OSD Forza 10 outdoor speaker. How do I connect a passive subwoofer to this receiver?

Hello, To connect a passive sub-woofer to the AVR-S540BT, it would be necessary to purchase a power amplifier. The Passive sub-woofer connects to the power amplifier's speaker outputs. The AVR-S540BT's sub-woofer (LFE) output connects to the power amplifier. To prevent compatibility issues, we recommend contacting your dealer or passive sub-woofer manufacturer for recommendations on which power amplifier to purchase.

hello greetings problem activating hdr

Hello, With the AVR-S540BT, HDR is supported and does need to be activated. We recommend using HDMI Version 2.1 (Ultra High Speed) cables from a reputable brand such as Audioquest to allow for a reliable HDR transfer. The HDR feature is only active if the source material is offering is HDR content.

Hello, I have problems activating the HDR. I previously had a receiver from another brand and it had a standard or improved 4K option and that's how I activated the HDR when using the home theater and being able to activate HDR mode on PS5 and Xbox series

My AVR-S540BT receiver powers on but no out put comes on the screen. I checked all the cables and connection. No screen comes up

Hello, I have a PS4 Pro (4k capable) connected through the 4k hdmi port on my Denon S540BT but it does not transmit 4k video. Is there a firmware update that allows the Denon to stream 4k or is this impossible due to the lacking HDR processing?
