Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds good so far I wanted to scale down my bulky tower speaker entertainment system for a small living room. This works well. Mostly I try to keep the volume to a minimum, and that's not a problem, especially with the night setting on. I have been using Dialog Enhancer, but I wish there was more documentation about it. Apparently that setting and Night cannot both work at the same time. One major question I have is: when, if ever, is Dialog Enhancer reset to the default? And more importantly, WHAT IS the default setting? I assume it is Low, but I would appreciate an official answer to that. Since there is no display, I don't know where to find this information.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Denon does it again. Quality at a fair price. Fantastic device. Sleek styling, ease of setup and operation. Not many speakers of it's kind have a subwoofer out. The remote is also well designed.

Can i connect wireless rear speakers to this soundbar?

Hello, The DHT-S217 is self-contained. Unfortunately, it does not support the use of rear speakers. The Home 550 is our Soundbar which supports use with optional wireless rear speakers, as well as an optional wireless sub-woofer. Hello, is it possible to wired dht-s217 subwoofer port out (RCA connector) to Bose bass module 500/700 (3,5mm jack connector) ? Pls advice

Hello, The analog output of the DHT-S217 is to feed a sub-woofer with a regular analog line input. I have no details on the Bose Bass Module you speak of, so it is better Bose answer this question about their product for you to be certain.

Hello, the Denon DHT-S217 is not Wi-Fi compatible. A USB port is provided for any future updates that may become available. The Built-in subwoofers cannot be shut off; however, the Bass can be adjusted using the remote control. Fine-tuning a connected subwoofer may be possible using the subwoofer's own Gain and Crossover control. Most powered subwoofers will provide their own Gain and Crossover adjustments allowing you to blend the bar to the subwoofer.

deafault is off until you choose low mid high,then it switch to movie mode with dialog enhancer , to switch of dialog enhancer press again desired mode to movie or music or night

Is there a soundbar mount for this speaker to use on a Sony tv? I would like to mount it to the sanus tv mount used for the tv at the bottom. Thank you.

Hello Margaret, The DHT-S217 will work with a mount which accomodates a Soundbar which has a pair of keyhole ports in the rear. We do not make a specific wall mount for our Soundbars.

I have been using my DHT S217 for 3 months now and suddenly sometimes the TV does not recognized the speaker. How to trouble shoot?

Hello JoCo6, Sorry to learn of this technical difficulty you are experiencing. A soft reset is recommended. Disconnect the HDMI cable at both ends, unplug the DHT-S217 from it's power source for at least 15 minutes, then plug both power and HDMI cable back in. This could well reset the handshake between the two devices. If this does not prove to be successful, here is a link to our Product Support Team. Does it have full .1 LFE subwoofer out without filters or is the subout high pass filtered? Frequency range of subwoofer output is missing on documents.
