Rated 5 out of 5 by from A. great tuner - amplifier at this price point Replacing a very fine (old) analog tuner/amp, I wanted a new one that handled well my various audio visual devices without breaking the bank. The AVR-X2700H fit the bill perfectly. When I got it home, the set up process was amazingly well organized, with step-by-step instructions displayed on the tv screen. Regardless of expertise, the instructions were easy to follow and ended up with devices working as expected. Included in the set up is a tuning of the speakers in the room, resulting in optimal sound. Bravo Denon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound Replaced a 1912 with a pioneer elite that just did not sound as good and it would not stay connected with my TV ARC. So I saw this one in Denon’s wed site and could not pass it up. And after having it for a few weeks it is the best sounding receiver so far.

Questions

Hi, Does Avr x2700h have dual independent sub out feature? I have 2 subs and waauiont to be able to adjust delay/ volume on them independently.

Asked by: Audio guy
Hello, The sub-woofer output on the AVR-X2700H on ports one and two are identical. There is no inpdependant control for them individually within the receiver. That would need to be done with the controls which are available on the rear panel of the sub-woofers themselves.

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, The AVR-X2700H is equipped to handle a four ohm load. Impedance alone does not offer much of a guide as to how compatible a speaker might be with any given amplifier, as there are other important factors to consider, such as sensitivity. Some speakers which are bundled with a system will only work with that system, so if you are in any doubt, you might want to ask Sony as they could be proprietory speakers.

I currently have a Denon AVR-S920W would this be a suitable replacement for it and have enough power to run my current setup?

Asked by: Dominic
Hello, If you are using the same speakers driven by your AVR-S920W, then yes. The AVR-X2700H has impressive speaker-drivig capabilities.

I'm planning a 7.1 in the living room, 2-channel in the kitchen, and a 2-channel zone 2 outside. I have a separate Amp for my main pair in the 7.1 setup. Can I use the preouts for the main pair in the 7.1, A channel for the kitchen, B channel for zone 2?

Asked by: Rushead
Hi Rushead, The AVR-X2700H does not have a pre-out for the main pair (front left & right speakers). For the set-up your are detailing, you will need the AVR-X3800H. With the AVR-X3800H, you can have 7.1 with the main pair powered by your external amplifier. You can also assign pair B can feed the kitchen, and then have the Zone 2 feed from the 10th and 11th speaker ports. https://www.denon.com/en-us/product/av-receivers/avr-x3800h/300609-new.html

How can i use AVR X2700H for my dual purpose, given that i have a total of 7 speakers 1) Purpose 1: All 7 speakers should play single background music from single source without surround effects. 2) Purpose 2: normal surround system

Asked by: Karthik
Hello, For purpose 1: With your AVR-X2700H, select your desired music source first. On your remote control there is a button at the bottom labeled 'Music'. Pressing this until it reads 'Mult-chnnel stereo' will allow for the same strreo effect through all of your speaker pairs (the center channel plays in mono). This is very useful when listening to music, as it provides a very even balance of sound. For purpose 2: With your AVR-X2700H, select your desired video/game source first. The 'Movie' button allows you to scroll through your surround effects.

If i want to play same stereo playback in 3 zones, can it be the same source like spotify but one zone be playing a different station within spotify?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, The simplest way to do this is to have a wireless 'Home' speaker in the other loctions. The HEOS engine built into the AVR-2700H supports Spotify (and many other popular online streaming services) and allows for wireless Home speakers to be added to your set-up. Each home speaker can be either independantly source-fed (effectively a separate zone speaker), or syncronized with any other Home speaker. On top of that, it saves you having to run speaker wires. You can either stream Spotify through the free HEOS app, or you can stream Spotify from your mobile device via bluetooth to your HEOS-enabled devices such as the AVR-X2700H and wireless Home speakers. Here is a link to our selection of wireless Home speakers https://www.denon.com/en-us/category/denon-home HEOS speakers can receive wireless source signal feeds (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), but they do need to be connected to a wall outlet for power.

Hi. Can I use the AVR-X2700H to setup a 5.2.4 system, or do I need the AVR-X3700H? Also, do you know when Denon will release the 2023 products? Thanks!

Asked by: OldAVGuy
Hi OldAVGuy, The AVR-X3700H (or AVR-X3800H) is required for a 5.2.4 set-up. The AVR-X2700H has seven powered channels. As for new additions to the line-up - we only find out a day or two before the rest if the world learns of new product releases.
