Rated 5 out of 5 by from Denon AVR receivers. This is my second AVR Denon I have in the last 9 years. Denon AVR have a deep rich base and crystal clear highs that produces a unique sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice receiver at a very nice price. Great sound quality and easy, guided setup. My only complaint is that the volume control on the remote is very touchy. So you have to push the button incrementally for small changes rather than push and hold. Otherwise, the volume changes too rapidly. But I'll accept that quirk given the very nice price for this receiver and the great sound quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful 8K/60 & 4K/120 supported receiver I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on an AV receiver with fully operational HDMI 2.1 (bug free) for use with my gaming consoles. After reading about all the issue's with the earlier ones I avoided AVR's until I could find a reasonably priced 2022 model. Enter the Denon S570BT, a great option for those looking for an entry-level 5.2 capable receiver that fully supports HDMI 2.1 out of the box. This AVR has a good MSRP price, and is a steal when on sale! After several days of playing games on both PS5 and Xbox Series X, I can confirm that all games perform flawlessly, without any noticeable latency problems, whether using standard 4K/60 or the faster 120fps mode. It's buttery smooth too! Please make sure you only use certified HDMI cables so you don't have issue's with the screen blacking out and/or audio cutting out. I was plagued with black screen drops in the past, when I initially started 4K gaming on PS4 Pro. Changing out my non-certified cables eliminated the issue. Sound quality is very good, especially considering the low price point and lower watts this receiver is pushing out to my Polk towers and rear surrounds. I run a 5 channel surround setup in a room that is roughly 12x10 feet, and this gets plenty loud. Setup is a breeze and walks you through everything. The included mic is used for audio calibration so it can make corrections based on your room. Make sure to take the time to do this! I can't comment on movie listening since I only use this receiver in my game room, but I can tell you that the directionality is spot on with this receiver. I played some COD matches and could easily tell where other players were running around. I finished the new God of War on PS5 and it was quite a sight to behold, as well as listen to, when playing on resolution mode with working 4K/40fps. My only nitpick with this receiver would be that using the remote to make volume adjustments can be finicky. On all other brands of receivers I've used in the past I've never had any problems adjusting the volume, but on this Denon when you press and hold the volume it changes far too quickly and is hard to really dial in the right volume. Instead you must rely on pressing the volume button one press at a time to get it where you want, which can be frustrating. It's a minor annoyance, but something that Denon should try to address on future AVR's. That said, it's possible (though unlikely) that Denon could release a firmware update to address this. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase of this Denon receiver, and I highly recommend anyone looking for an entry-level 5.2 receiver with 8K/60, as well as 4K/120 support out of the box to look into this one.

Questions

Can I watch my TV through Apple TV without turning on the Denon AVR-S570BT. For typical television viewing I don't want surround sound.

Asked by: RanchBoss
Hello, Yes - the AVR-S570BT offers HDMI Pass Through should you wish to view an HDMI connected source (such as Apple TV) on your TV without the AVR-S570BT being powered-up. Here is a link with the details: https://manuals.denon.com/AVRS570BT/NA/EN/GFNFSYkabkahie.php#OKNRMLnbhjopxy

Does this work via Amazon Alexa

Asked by: ED Firn
Hello, Unfortunately, as the AVR-S570BT is not a network AVR, it does not support the use of Alexa. Any of our other current AVRs are Network devices and all will support Alexa, as well as having a HEOS engine built-in - which gives you access to many popular streaming platforms, including Tidal, Amazon HD, Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn Radio and Deezer. I have an issue with my Hisense U8H not getting sound when initially turning on. The receiver goes into MCH Stereo TV mode, resetting the AVR gets it back to TV Audio Dolby Digital mode which gets annoying. Also can't seem to find updated firmware.

Asked by: Seanzyy
Hello, If the firmware update pertains to the AVR-S570BT, then there's no concern with that. The AVR-S570BT does not receive any firmware updates as it is not a network AVR. It has no provision for accepting an internet feed. Not knowing which HDMI cable you have, we suggest using an 'Ultra High Speed' HDMI cable to help prevent connectivity glitches, specifically the Audioquest brand as their HDMI cables have yet to let us down. If you need help with troubleshooting the AVR-S570BT, our Customer care Team are on hand to assist. Here is their contract number: https://www.denon.com/en-us/support/contact-us.html If the issue proves to be with your TV manufacturer's product, we recommend speaking with them about the symptom.

I have a Samsung S95B I Connected via eArc and enable on the Samsung the eArc and Dolby Atmos option and on the Denon as well, works great, but when I connect any other device (4KBRPlayer, Cable box) automatically disconects the audio and eArc option Why?

Asked by: RoMeGo
I have the same issue. I have a Roku plugged into the media player HDMI port. When I switch to the Roku and go back to cable/satellite the HDMI eARC does not work. I get no sound. I spoke to technical support at Denon and they were less than helpful. Disappointing to say the least. I expect better from a premium brand like Denon.

Does the Denon AVR-S570BT Have a phono input. When I was on Best Buys website , they say it has a phono input, but when I look at the back of the receiver, I see nothing that says phono input.

Asked by: Phil 44
Hello, Unfortunately, it sounds as though Best Buy have an error in their system. I can confirm the AVR-S570BT does not have a phono pre-amp built-in, which is why no phono input can be seen in the images of the rear panel of the AVR-S570BT..

I have a Denon AVR-S570BT that I am struggling to connect to my TV in a way where I can get 4k 120hz from my xbox series x. My TV is a Vizio M75QXM-K03 which has an HDMI port specifically for 4k at 120hz. I am also using HDMI 2.1.

Asked by: atotalpro
Hello, The first thing to check is whether or not your AVR-S570BT has the 8K Enhanced feature activated. Settings > Video > 4K/8K Signal Format https://manuals.denon.com/AVRS570BT/NA/EN/DRDZSYmrrditgv.php If that is in place, check which brand of HDMI Version 2.1 cables you have. Not all HDMI Version 2.1 cables are made equally. Some of them struggle when you add a extra link to the chain (for example; an AVR between the gaming console and the TV). We recommend Audioquest, as their HDMI cables have yet to let us down. If you are still having problems with your 4K/120Hz feed at this point, here is a link to our Customer Care Team. They are on hand to help with trouble-shooting: https://www.denon.com/en-us/support/contact-us.html

When playing hi-res tracks above 48khz with room eq enabled the sound output stutters very badly. Does Room EQ support high bitrate, high sample rate tracks? I've been able to repeat this from various inputs.

Asked by: ChrisPEI
Hello, Direct Mode is recoomended for high resolution source content as it is not necessarily supported by the AVR-S570BT's room correction.
