Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use After spending $1300 to get an Arcam streamer only to find that the app (Music Life) is very difficult to use and does not support Apple Music or Amazon. I got free trials of Qobuz and Tidal but found that trying to access a particular album was difficult. So, having HEOS on my Denon AVR I knew it was easy to use. The stand alone HEOS link works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, streaming HD and Ultra HD I bought the link to take advantage of Amazon HD (or Spotify HD when it becomes available.). Streaming has reached new heights with this technology with better than CD sound and imaging. Can’t wait to upgrade my 4100 to the new 4700 and relocate the old system to my sitting room…. Note: do not buy if you want Apple lossless because it only connects via Airplay which will not stream HD music.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sound and connectivity I Love the integration of this product with the Denon/Marantz echo system. I use the USB input to select HiRez files to play. Integrates well with my Marantz system. I also use one with another non Marantz/Denon system and it works without question. I have whole house auto in HiRez that I can play from anywhere in my house regardless of where the file is stored. The 3.5mm input is great for plugging into other systems. I would love to see better integration with the Bluetooth, controlling the unit when there is no WiFi available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding! I am a professional home theater installer and I have installed many of these along with many other HEOS products. The HEOS link and the entire HEOS line is fantastic!!! If you have had any issues at all or written a bad review, I'm sorry to say that you probably just didn't understand the product or how it works. As I stated before, I have installed many of these and every single customer has absolutely loved it!!! The free app is very simple and works great! The only problem I have ever seen had to do with the network itself, the entire HEOS system runs on the network, so you need to make sure you have a good router. If your router is old, slow, or just not good... well then the HEOS system will not work properly. This is the poor networks fault, not HEOS. I highly, highly reccomed anything HEOS and I love installing it! It's easy to install, easy to use and sounds great! What's not to love!

Questions

I have a Denon DRA-325R AM-FM Stereo Receiver and a DCD-425 Compact Disc player. Would the Heos Link work with this.

Asked by: Shiree Hickey
Hello, Yes - both the DRA-325R and the DCD-425 can connect to the HEOS Link. The HEOS link has a healthy list of connectivity options.

I have a pair of Audio Pro A48 active speakers. Can this connect to them and then allow them to be grouped within HEOS and function in sync with other Home speakers I have (5 in total so far)

Asked by: HFNZ2
Hello, When creating a group, the HEOS Link and Denon Home speakers would be in sync when playing a music source, however we can't guarantee there wouldn't be any audio delay when connecting the Audio Pro A48 since it may have internal processing that could delay the audio output on the products. We recommend contacting the manufacture of the Audio Pro A48 speakers to confirm.

Do you have an online manual for the Link HS2. Want to read on the 12v output and see if it will control a relay or SSR to turn main amp on and off that it is connected to. And does the APP control it.

Asked by: Ron83
Hello, Here is a link to the manual for the HEOS Link HS2: https://manuals.denon.com/HEOSLINKHS2/ALL/EN/index.php#kensaku The search function makes life a lot easier with navigating the features. HI, can I use HEOS link with Denon HEOS enabled home receiver in order to use regulars speakers as surround sound?

Asked by: Ganiv30
Hello, Unfortunately not. HEOS Home Speakers work with HEOS compatible receivers as speakers in other rooms receiving a stereo feed. HEOS Home Speakers are not designed to work wirelessly in a surround speaker set-up. Our receivers require the surround speakers to be hard-wired. The HEOS link allows receivers which do not have HEOS built-in to function with HEOS technology.

Are there manual volume controls that can be used? I have new construction and want wired volume control to each Denon Heos link for each Zone plus being able to control via the app. Do you have such a device. If not you need one.

Asked by: Mark McDade
Hi Mark, The HEOS speakers have volume control available with either the app, or the controls on the speaker, or the Link device housing.

Hello Denon, Does the Heos Link stream music directly to the unit from the network or does it first stream into the HEOS app, then transmits the music through WiFi (via AirPlay) or Bluetooth into the HEOS Link which then plays over speakers?

Asked by: DBear
Former. Think of the HEOS app as a smart remote control. All the streaming work happens in the link itself. Start streaming and then you can turn off your phone. Of course if you use Bluetooth or Airplay, music does come from your phone.

Can I connect the Heos Link to my Denon AVR-X1600 Zone 2 output so that I can listen to a different source of music from the Main Zone? I have a set of outdoor stereo speakers connected to the Zone 2 but I have to listen to the same music on both zones.

Asked by: ChrityPR
Hey Denon Customer, Zone 2 can be used as an independent source without the HEOS link. If you are using the same source in both zones you will get the same audio. We hope this helps, if not you can always give us a call to have one of our expert technical support team members assist with this and any other concerns you may have. Thanks, Denon North America
